Renewed Boat
We are proud to share the refurbishment and major upgrades completed on Coral I, the boat used by Coral Expeditions Costa Rica for marine adventures from Uvita.
These improvements were made to increase safety, reliability, passenger comfort, operating efficiency, and the overall quality of our tours in Bahía Ballena and Costa Rica’s Osa region.
Two New Suzuki 250 HP Outboard Motors
Coral I now has two brand-new, zero-hour Suzuki 250 HP outboard motors. Replacing the previous single-engine configuration provides greater power and redundancy while supporting more efficient and reliable navigation.
Reinforced Structure and Passenger Seating
The boat’s structure and passenger seating were reinforced to improve stability, durability, and comfort. Coral I is equipped with 23 passenger seats and a protective canopy that provides shade during the journey.
Environmentally Responsible Refurbishment
The interior and exterior were repainted using higher-quality, more environmentally considerate marine paint. Combined with the improved efficiency of the new engines, these upgrades support our commitment to responsible tourism and reducing unnecessary environmental impact.
Navigation, Communication, and Safety Equipment
Coral I includes equipment designed to support safe and dependable operations:
- GPS navigation
- Marine radio
- Starlink Wi-Fi connectivity
- Fire extinguisher
- Water pump
- Inspected life jackets and safety equipment
- Protective passenger canopy
The vessel and its safety equipment receive regular inspection and maintenance as part of our operating procedures.
