The sea kayaking excursion at Ballena Marine National Park is carefully timed to begin one hour before low tide, which allows us to navigate between the waves directly to the reef. Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to snorkel as our expert guide leads you along the reef to discover a variety of vibrant marine species.
Following the snorkeling session, we will paddle to the iconic Whale Tail formation to take a break and enjoy a selection of fresh fruit. Our journey continues with an exhilarating kayak surf back to the beach. Once we return to shore, the tour concludes with a visit to a local mangrove where you can observe Costa Rica's diverse birds, mammals, and characteristic flora. Depending on your preference and the current conditions, the passage through the mangroves can be experienced by kayak or via a guided walk on land.
